a little treat

The hubby and I didn't have much to do this weekend for a change (besides the usual chores) so we decided to walk around Wellington St. We didin't find many stores we wanted to check out, but then discovered the Westboro Farmer's Market so we wandered around in there. We bought some sweet potato wedges for a snack, lots of cookies (OMG I bought 2 of the biggest thumbprint cookies!), some fresh honey, simosas and to my surprise I found a really cool jewelry booth. I told myself I'd stop buying jewelry but I love supporting local crafty people so what the hell. There were 2 necklaces I fell in love with, one being a 3 chevron design that matched my new tattoo that I'm kind of kicking myself for not getting but I got this one instead.

Cute eh? It's a hammered brass tube...and turns out you can get yourself one here at Alyssa's Etsy shop!  She doesn't have the other 2 in her shop unfortunately or I'd show you. And that is all I bought today. Bummer. I even left Beige empty handed for I think the first time EVER (although they had 2 of the most amazing leather-seat-steel-base barstools that I wanted so badly but I don't even have a counter to put them at so I saved myself $600).

last night, out

I headed out early last night for a much needed girls evening and in typical mom fashion, I was home in bed by 10. Win-Win!

I hope one day soon our girls nights lead to a fancier place where I can dress up a little, drink fancy drinks and eat great food, instead of some local watering hole with a shit menu and draft beer. On the other hand, I don't really own anything fancy, and Mill St Organic is the best draft ever.

things that annoy me

There are some things that are annoying me today, about this outfit, and otherwise. Here goes...
- how the zipper "flap" doesn't cover the zipper on these jeans
- any post raving about Body by Vi on Facebook
- how I look in a blazer, cause I really want to like them
- my employer, for oh so many reasons
- any post on Facebook about how life is frigging grand, for the 20th time, from the same person
- how people leave their carts in the middle of the aisle at the grocery store
- Pugley, and his ridiculousness of carrying this mouse around in his mouth while letting out the horniest of cries.
- people who do not let a person (carrying a child plus umpteen bags) cross at the crosswalk

But otherwise, I'm having a great day!

WANT!!!!!

I haven't gotten super excited about a pair of shoes/boots in a while. I spotted these See by Chloe leather cuffed boots a couple of days ago on Coline's blog and nearly lost my shit.

Then I did some quick searching and could not find the damn things (in the States or Canada). I did what any obsessed nutbar would do and I emailed SSENSE to find out if they had plans to get them. And because SSENSE rocks, they answered back within the hour with this: According to our buyers, we have already placed an order for the item in question however, we have yet to receive a confirmation whether we will receive this item. AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!! If anyone knows where I can get them, let me know. Otherwise I will wait...and stalk....

dinner out

After spending yesterday at home while my car was in the garage, I needed out so we headed for Chinese last night. I wore this sweater for the first and last time. It's too big, and not in the good way. Also, here's a perfect example of why I don't buy expensive things...even my shoes aren't safe from toddler destruction!
