I nearly lost my mind the other day when I saw an email land in my inbox from Fluevog talking about A SALE! I scoured the site for probably hours trying to decide if I should take advantage and buy a pair (or 2). After changing my mind a zillion times, I finally settled on the Jolie in red. They arrived yesterday from the Montreal store and OMG they are INCREDIBLE boots. I realized I could use a dressier pair and these fit the bill. I don't have any footwear in red (they're actually more of a raspberry colour) so I thought these would be fun. They are regular $319 down to $199. Worth every penny. Now if only the freaking snow and slush would go away so I could maybe wear them that would be awesome. (Check out my other pair of Fluevog's here).

Last night my husband and I went out to dinner with my parents (see more on that here) and I managed to get my husband to snap a couple pics before we left although it was too dark to get a decent shot so this will have to do (featuring the new boots, but I then switched into my knee high Fluevogs to make it through the slush intact).

A Friday at the office

I am not sure how I am going to manage taking photos of my outfits during the weekdays. I pack my work clothes in my backpack because I walk to work and change when I get there. I leave the house at 6:30 am and return home at 4 pm - with my clothes in my backpack again. Today I snuck a photo in the bathroom after coffee break - and another at my desk. This might be all I can manage for now.

And because the stupid mirror doesn't go to the floor, I had to take a separate pic of my shoes (not the best angle clearly).

white shirt: American Apparel
fair isle vest: Woolrich via Apple Saddlery
jeans: Dish (old, via Urban Trade)
patent brogues: Aldo (OMG I paid $100 and they're now $34.99)

hello, i love you

I will never be too old for Converse. Or band t-shirts. Or plaid. At least I hope I won't be, 'cause I love them all.

i want

I've been wanting combat boots for a while, and since I somehow, miraculously, finished the holiday season not in debt I think I should treat myself to a pair. I wear leggings at least 3 days a week (THE perfect mom pant!) and I'm hoping these will look chic and effortless with them.
I'm loving this super comfy, worn looking Military Boot from AllSaints.
This pair from Madewell are a bit more polished, but might be taking "military" too literally for me.

My wallet smiled when I stumbled upon these lovelies from Aldo...AT 50% OFF! Seriously...how could I deny myself a pair of boots under $50! Done and done...they arrive next week.
